Presentation of the SCCTCV
The Cameroon Society of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery (SCCTCV), a scholarly organization established in 2024 under the Cameroonian law of December 19, 1990, aims to unite thoracic and cardiovascular surgeons from sub-Saharan Africa, with a particular focus on Cameroon.
Objectives
- To promote the practice of cardiac, vascular, and thoracic surgery.
- To participate in both initial and continuing education in thoracic and cardiovascular surgery.
- To contribute to the advancement of research in the fields of thoracic and cardiovascular surgery.
- To establish a system for evaluating clinical care, particularly diagnostic innovations, in alignment with international standards.
- To facilitate access to care for populations affected by thoracic and cardiovascular diseases.
- To provide expert opinions on matters of public interest concerning the epidemiology, prevention, and treatment of thoracic and cardiovascular conditions in sub-Saharan Africa.
