The Cameroon Society of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery (SCCTCV), a scholarly organization established in 2024 under the Cameroonian law of December 19, 1990, aims to unite thoracic and cardiovascular surgeons from sub-Saharan Africa, with a particular focus on Cameroon.
Objectives
To promote the practice of cardiac, vascular, and thoracic surgery.
To participate in both initial and continuing education in thoracic and cardiovascular surgery.
To contribute to the advancement of research in the fields of thoracic and cardiovascular surgery.
To establish a system for evaluating clinical care, particularly diagnostic innovations, in alignment with international standards.
To facilitate access to care for populations affected by thoracic and cardiovascular diseases.
To provide expert opinions on matters of public interest concerning the epidemiology, prevention, and treatment of thoracic and cardiovascular conditions in sub-Saharan Africa.
